Week-long events to push Digital India – 2015

Digital-India-week-banner12Bhubaneswar, June 23, 2015 – Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India will organize the “Digital India Week” on the 1st July, 2015 at the Sports Authority of India’s Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex, New Delhi. This event will be graced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.

 The “Digital India Week” is a flagship program of Government of India intended to inform, educate and engage citizens and aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision, services and benefits of the programs will be conveyed through organization of events at large number of Digital Points of Presence like CSCs, Post Offices, Industries, Schools, Gram Panchayats and connect all citizens through Digital Media campaigns and events.

This will help in popularizing and expanding the reach of existing e-services, plan and launch new services as well as educate citizens on functional digital literacy, cyber security, cyber hygiene, ensuring better utilization of digital infrastructure during the “Digital India Week” and beyond.

AuroIN will also organize a program on July 3, 2015 at its Bhubaneswar office at 04:00 PM. The event will cover sessions on Digital India, Digital Service/e-service and Cyber Security, etc.
